Our  program combines rigorous technical instruction with hands-on fabrication experience, giving apprentices the opportunity to learn in a working environment while developing the precision and discipline required in high-purity industries.  Training also extends beyond piping into structural fabrication, including industrial handrails, stair systems, and catwalks—ensuring well-rounded, job-ready welders. 

Graduates leave the program prepared to enter the workforce immediately, with the skills and experience needed to excel. They are also positioned to pursue industry-recognized credentials through the American Welding Society (AWS), including Certified Welder (CW) endorsements in TIG stainless steel, along with advanced preparation aligned with Certified Welding Fabricator (CWF) standards. 

Students in this program would gain a combination of specialized welding skills, fabrication experience, technical knowledge, and professional workforce readiness, including:

• Precision GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel 
• Orbital welding fundamentals and operation 
• Advanced purge welding techniques for sanitary systems 
• Pipe fitting, pipe layout, and joint preparation 
• Sanitary process piping fabrication and installation 
• Blueprint and isometric drawing interpretation 
• Weld inspection awareness and quality control practices 
• Heat control, metallurgy, and weld distortion management 
• Use of fabrication tools, grinders, saws, and measuring equipment 
• Structural and platform fabrication, including handrails, stairs, and catwalk systems 
• Shop safety and industrial workplace standards 
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting in fabrication environments 
• Professional communication and technical documentation 
• Teamwork, jobsite discipline, and apprenticeship-based work habits 
• Preparation for industry certifications through the American Welding Society, including GTAW stainless steel qualifications 
• Graduates also develop the precision, consistency, and attention to detail required for work in pharmaceutical, food-grade, and other high-purity manufacturing industries.

TIG stainless welding is a highly-skilled specialization.
